Kaab bin Ujrah narrated that
Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Come near the pulpit,”
and we came near the pulpit. When he ascended the first step of the pulpit,
he said, “Ameen.” When he ascended the second step, he said, “Ameen.” When he
ascended the third step, he said, “Ameen.” When he descended, we said, “’O
Prophet of Allah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, we have heard from you today
something which we have never heard before.” He said, “When I ascended the
first step, Jibrail appeared before me and said, ‘Woe to the person who found
the blessed month of Ramadhan and let it pass by without gaining
forgiveness.’ Upon that I said: Ameen. When I ascended the second step, he
said, ‘Woe to the person whom when your name is mentioned and he does read
du’a on you.’ I replied: Ameen. When I ascended the third step he said, ‘Woe
to that person in whose presence his parents or either one of them attains
old age, and (through failure to serve them) he is not allowed to enter
Paradise.’ I said: Ameen.”

Narrated by Hasan bin Ali r.a. he
said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me some
words to say in Qunut of Witir: ‘O Allah, guide us with those You have guided
aright. Grant us wellness with those that You have granted wellness. Protect
us with those You have protected. Bless us in what you have bestowed on us,
and guard us against Your evil decree, for You alone decree, and no one can
decree against You. One whom You have patronised can never be despised and
the one whom You have antagonised can never become honoured. Our Lord, You
are the most exalted and glorious.

Annasa'i and Ibn Majah)
